Old Stuff

I am a collector of vintage or "old stuff." The pieces in this painting remind me of my childhood, when my Mom used to bake bread from scratch every Sunday. Half of the kids in the neighborhood would be at our house for a hot chunk of bread or cinnamon rolls as soon as the aroma escaped our windows. This was fun; I may do a series.

About Me

I have loved painting, sketching, playing with colors for as long as I can remember, but that love has always been relegated to "later" or "when I have time." Well, it's later and I've decided to make the time. I've learned through the tutelage of mentors, trial and error, watching U-tube and videos I’ve purchased, studying other artists' work, and attending workshops. I particularly love portraiture--of course I would choose the most difficult genre! (A friend recently asked me if I was still painting my way through the family album.) I also love painting still lifes. I see art in everything, and I look forward to sharing my late-blooming passion!
